On Friday, February 16, former Boerne Champion High School standouts Carmen Vela and Gabriela Vela’s current college team, the UMHB Crusaders, won 4-2 in their NCAA Division III game against the Southwestern Pirates.
The game took place in Belton, Texas. This was their second matchup against the Southwestern Pirates this season.
The Crusaders’ next game is scheduled for Thursday, February 29 at 8 p.m. in Columbus, Georgia against Case Western Reserve Spartans.
