Hillary Hickland, a Republican elected in 2025 to represent Texas’s 55th House district, posted several comments on her Twitter account on August 2, 2025, addressing political and electoral topics.
In an early morning post, Hickland wrote: “God bless them! https://t.co/NEMcUYZsVu” (August 2, 2025).
Later that morning, she commented on redistricting in Texas’s 35th congressional district. Hickland stated: “TX35 Current vs Proposed. You tell me, which map looks more “gerrymandered”? #ThatTailTho @GregCasar https://t.co/ZFx56VtMdg” (August 2, 2025).
By the afternoon, she reflected on the recent presidential election’s implications for minority voters. Hickland tweeted: “If the 2024 election told us anything, it’s that minorities are NOT a monolithic voting bloc. https://t.co/oxy6w5Hkdy” (August 2, 2025).
Hickland succeeded Hugh Shine as state representative after her election to the Texas State House in 2025.
