Hillary Hickland, recently elected Republican representative for Texas House District 55, has highlighted her involvement in local community events and historical commemorations through a series of posts on social media.

On October 2, 2025, Hickland posted about her attendance at an event honoring distinguished alumni of Temple ISD. She wrote: “Last night I attended the Temple Education Foundation Distinguished Alumni Awards banquet where we honored three incredible leaders — Perry Cloud, Sharon Wilson, and Jerry Tyroch — who have given so much to Temple ISD and our community.
