Hillary Hickland, a Republican member of the Texas State House representing District 55, shared updates on her recent community engagement activities through a series of social media posts in October 2025.
On October 7, Hickland described her participation in a longstanding neighborhood tradition: “Tonight I joined Mr. Tittle’s National Night Out party — a neighborhood tradition he’s hosted since 1995! This was the first year without his beloved wife, and the community took a moment to honor loved ones who have passed. I had the privilege of presenting a resolution I filed” (posted October 8, 2025).
Later that evening, she commented on the broader celebrations across Bell County: “Happy National Night Out in Bell County! So many smiles, great conversations, and strong neighborhoods. Love seeing our communities come together like this! We popped in to gatherings in Temple, Belton, and Harker Heights — spanning the district and celebrating the spirit of” (posted October 8, 2025).
The following day, Hickland recounted an educational visit with local students: “This was so fun! The 5th graders from Central Texas Christian School squeezed into my office for a visit! They’re learning about Texas and the Federal Government, so we talked about House District 55, what a State Representative does, and how laws impact their everyday lives.” (posted October 8, 2025).
Hickland was elected to represent Texas’s 55th House district in 2025 after succeeding Hugh Shine. She has focused on local engagement since taking office.
