Hillary Hickland, a Republican elected to the Texas State House in 2025 representing the 55th district, recently shared several updates on her social media account regarding activities at the Capitol and new educational initiatives.
On December 9, Hickland posted about holiday celebrations at the Capitol, stating, “Cuties at the Capitol spreading Christmas joy!”
The following day, she commented on recent policy changes affecting minors and obscenity laws. In her December 10 post, Hickland wrote, “GO. FIGHT. WIN. The days of exposing minors to obscenity are over. Well done, Bonnie.”
Later that same day, Hickland announced her participation in an event supporting youth civic engagement. She said, “Yesterday I had the honor of attending a press conference at the Governor’s Mansion where our state took a bold stand for the next generation.
Proud to announce new support for Turning Point USA chapters in our high schools — putting civics, American history, and unapologetic”
Hickland succeeded Hugh Shine as representative of Texas’s 55th House district after being elected in 2025.
