City of Belton issued the following announcement on Nov. 19.
The City of Belton and the Downtown Belton Business Alliance is re-imagining this year's Christmas on the Chisholm Trail on Dec. 4-5.
On Friday (6-8 p.m.), a shop and stroll replaces the tree lighting. Please put a mask on and come downtown for some early holiday season shopping.
On Saturday (noon-7 p.m.), vendors will be spaced apart downtown to promote social distancing. Unfortunately, Santa will not be at the courthouse, and the parade will not occur this year as we minimize areas where people gather and try to keep people moving.
Remember "jingle don't mingle!"
We invite vendors and patrons to wear masks and take other precautions. The goal is to have a fun time safely supporting downtown businesses during a critical time of year for them.
