San Angelo food delivery company San Angelo To Go won this year's San Angelo Business Plan Competition and received a cash prize of $40,000.
According to the City of San Angelo, the San Angelo Business Plan Competition was open to local startups and existing businesses wishing to expand. Applicants submitted plans that reflected a vision for developing a proposed business to address a market opportunity. San Angelo To Go was judged to have designed the best business plan and was selected as the winner from 28 applicants that entered this year’s competition.
San Angelo To Go is owned and operated by Carson Beavers, Preston Wimberly and Cameron Jenkins and has been operating since 2015. The company submitted a plan to add on-demand fulfillment delivery options to its services, as well as an online marketplace featuring full-service delivery options for small businesses lacking a physical location or online presence.
Owned and operated by father and son Johnny and Brian Barge, and Australian associate Jim Fletcher, Texas-Australia Rock Company, LLC, a new business that reconstitutes limestone product for a variety of construction projects was selected as the second-place winner and received a cash award of $20,000.
Previously known as Texas Fire Extinguisher and Services, and under new management by Shannon Kendall and Justin Doss, Netco Fire & Safety sells, inspects and services portable fire extinguishers. Netco was selected as the third-place winner and will use its cash award of $10,000 to expand its operations.
