CITY OF KILLEEN: Boil Water Order Lifted For Properties In North Killeen

Boilwater

City of Killeen issued the following announcement on Dec. 23.

Normal water usage may resume immediately.

A boil water notice issued December 23, 2020 for properties located at the following addresses is lifted effective immediately:

•    1001 to 1609 E. Avenue G

•    1301 to 1407 E. Avenue H

•    202 to 208 S. 24th Street

•    16 to 25 S. 28th Street

A water line break repair interrupted service and necessitated a boil water order.

Service has been restored, and water quality tests have been completed. The water is now safe to drink and use without boiling.

TCEQ Required Notice:

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the City of Killeen public water system to issue a Boil Water Notice effective December 23, 2020 to inform customers, individuals, or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.

The City of Killeen public water system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of the water distributed by this public water system used for drinking water or human consumption purposes and has provided TCEQ with laboratory test results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling prior to use as of 6 p.m. December 24, 2020.

For updates on this order, call 254-501-6515. If you have questions concerning this matter, you may contact the Water and Sewer Services official at 254-501-6319.
