CITY OF COPPERAS COVE: Christmas Trees Recycling From January 4–8

City of Copperas Cove issued the following announcement on Dec. 29.

Please see below info and flyer reference the Solid Waste Department accepting Christmas Trees for recycling from January 4–8, 2021, 8am to 430pm, at the Transfer Station. For residents unable to transport their Christmas Trees, they may also be left curbside for complimentary collection on your regularly scheduled Brush Collection day. Additionally, we would like to share the below information from Canes For Veterans Central Texas and ask you to also consider donating trees to this great program: 

“Great people of Copperas Cove, I am the founder of Canes For Veterans Central Texas. We will be hold a  tree collection at the Bru Thru on 190 in Copperas Cove on the 3rd of January from 10am to 3pm. If you want to donate your Christmas trees to be turn into a cane we would love to take it. Along with any other donations you would be willing to give. We are a nonprofit organization and have been making canes and giving them away for a few years. One thing we need most is volunteers. If you have time I would love to teach you how to make canes. There is nothing like the feeling of giving them away. Contact me for more details at (254)394-3150 Thank you Jamie Willis”
