37 coaches at institutions in Bell County earned $52,920 on average in 2022

Bell County’s 37 coaches earned an average salary of $52,920 in 2022, according to the U.S. Department of Education.

This is the 29th highest average salary per county earned by coaches at Texas post-secondary schools during 2022.

Bell County is home to two post-secondary schools that paid coaches during 2022. Among them, University of Mary Hardin-Baylor stood out with the highest average coaching salary of $55,781.

Male coaches of men's teams received $64,195 on average in Bell County, while female coaches in charge of women's teams earned an average of $40,648.

Research from the Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management found NCAA coaches are compensated like CEOs, with top coaches earning more than $1.5 million annually.
