Pershing Park Elementary School has opened its doors for the start of the semester.
"Our kids are super excited,” Pershing Park Principal Jessica Taylor said. “Our parents have been amazing, driving up, wishing us a happy new year. Everyone had to come together and do their part."
The Perking Park Elementary School’s new building, which is adjacent to the old one on Central Texas Expressway in Killeen, is two stories, and also includes stairwell learning spaces, flex furniture, and a full indoor gym.
“They are looking in awe at the building," Taylor said. "There is just excitement, a new start.”
During Fall 2021, Pershing Park will add the current Sugar Loaf Elementary School students to its roster.
