There were 3,423 students enrolled in Lampasas ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, a slight increase compared to the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 50.9% of them were boys, and 49.1% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were white, representing 61.9% of the Lampasas ISD total enrollment.

Lampasas ISD roughly covers schools within Lampasas County with its main office in Lampasas.

Among the five schools in Lampasas ISD, Lampasas High School recorded the highest enrollment of 1,005 students in the 2021-22 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
