Enrollment at Belton ISD schools increased by 5.7% compared to previous school year

There were 13,326 students enrolled in Belton ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 5.7% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 50.9% of them were boys, and 49.1% were girls.

The most represented ethnicity among Belton ISD students was white, accounting for 49.6% of the student population.

Belton ISD roughly covers schools within Bell County with its main office in Belton.

Among the 17 schools in Belton ISD, Belton High School recorded the highest enrollment of 2,554 students in the 2021-22 school year.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
