There were 13,644 students enrolled in Belton ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 2.4% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 50.6% of them were boys, and 49.4% were girls.

The most represented ethnicity among Belton ISD students was white, accounting for 48.6% of the student population.

Belton ISD roughly covers schools within Bell County with its main office in Belton.

Among the 18 schools in Belton ISD, Lake Belton High School recorded the highest enrollment of 2,181 students in the 2022-23 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
