There were 3,567 students enrolled in Lampasas ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 4.2% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 51.2% of them were boys, and 48.8% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were white, representing 60.4% of the Lampasas ISD total enrollment.

Lampasas ISD roughly covers schools within Lampasas County with its main office in Lampasas.

Among the five schools in Lampasas ISD, Lampasas High School recorded the highest enrollment of 1,095 students in the 2022-23 school year.

Education in Texas is often a hot button issue, especially as test scores lag behind other states.

"The problems commonly cited are flaws in the school financing system, relatively low teacher salary, poor test performance by students... dropouts from traditional schools in favor of charter schools... gun violence, and mental health issues," claimed the Texas Almanac.
