How many multiracial students were enrolled in Copperas Cove ISD schools in 2022-23 school year?

There were 895 multiracial students enrolled in Copperas Cove ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 0.2% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Copperas Cove ISD schools welcomed 8,043 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, multiracial students comprised 11.1% of the student body to be one of the least represented ethnicities in the district.

Copperas Cove ISD roughly covers schools within Coryell County and has a main office in Copperas Cove.

Among the 11 schools in Copperas Cove ISD schools, Copperas Cove High School recorded the highest enrollment of multiracial students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 194 students.

Education in Texas is often a hot button issue, especially as test scores lag behind other states.

"The problems commonly cited are flaws in the school financing system, relatively low teacher salary, poor test performance by students... dropouts from traditional schools in favor of charter schools... gun violence, and mental health issues," claimed the Texas Almanac.
